USC faculty, students and staff can now expand their reference management to the web through free access to EndNote Web. This tool provides users with online storage for their references and the ability to instantly format bibliographies in their word processor.
With EndNote Web you can:
- import citations directly from databases including PubMed and Web of Science into your online account from saved files of citations.
- share EndNote Web folders of citations for collaborative projects online.
- store up to 10,000 records.
- link to Times Cited, Related Records, and the full ISI Web of Knowledge record for access to information on a reference article.
The EndNote Web Cite While You Write plug-in allows you to insert references, and format citations and bibliographies automatically while you write your papers in Word. The Windows plug-in also allows you to save online references to your EndNote Web library in Internet Explorer for Windows.
First time users must register through Web of Knowledge using an email address for the sign-in name and then follow the rules for the password selection. Users who have previously registered for Web of Knowledge should use that account.
After the initial registration you may access EndNote Web via the Web of Knowledge portal or via www.myendnoteweb.com. To keep your account active you MUST access EndNote Web at least once a year through the Web of Knowledge portal.
