InfoRetriever, the highly-regarded point-of-care, evidence-based clinical information system described in a recent entry to this blog, recently released a new and enhanced version for Palm or Pocket PC users. The previous installation of InfoRetriever Updater will continue to keep InfoRetriever’s content up to date, but will not reflect the following features of the newest version.
- A redesigned interface that is easier and more intuitive to use
- Derm Expert, a new tool designed to help in the diagnosis of dermatological conditions utilizing a series of simple steps. The tool contains hundreds of images and guidelines for quick and easy diagnosis. This tool will also be available in the Web version in coming months.
- The ability to check for content updates each time you sync your PDA. InfoRetriever is now able to automatically update all PDA users who sync with a with Microsoft Windows desktop PC. To start automating your InfoRetriever update process you must reinstall the new updated file for Palm(R) or Pocket PC one last time.
New and existing InfoRetriever users should install the new download to take advantage of these system updates. After downloading, you must register/re-register your application by clicking on the “Register” tab on the download page and following the stated instructions.
