ResearcherID is a helpful new customization option in the Web of Knowledge. You can create a unique researcher identification number and build a list of publications that you’ve located using the Web of Knowledge. Then you can analyze the publications with citation metrics to measure the impact of specific articles on a research field. The metrics include citation distribution per year, total times cited, and average times cited. These are helpful for assessing the influence of individual scholars in their areas of study. The system also includes tools that allow you to create a Web location where you can create a publication list from ISI Web of Knowledge, Web of Science, and other databases in your field.
The Web of Knowledge is accessible through the Quicklinks pull-down menu on the NML home page.
