Ovid's Primal Pictures

Ovid’s Primal Pictures, Norris Library’s newest anatomy resource, is accessible through USC’s Ovid portal.  With data derived from fresh human cadavers, Primal Pictures provides over 5,000 3D anatomical structures, clinical slides, dissections, animations, and videos. By adding and removing layers, rotating models, and switching among illustrations, MRIs, and photographs, users can interact with the parts of the body in countless ways. Once familiar with the anatomical structures presented, students can take customizable quizzes to test their new knowledge. Primal Pictures also has special modules of interest to dentists, physical therapists, and surgeons, including an acupuncture guide.

Access Primal Pictures and Norris Library’s other anatomy and histology resources from the subject resource page.
