Videos can be an effective way to capture audience attention and explain complicated topics, whether you’re in the clinic, classroom, laboratory, or presenting at a conference. Free and low-cost online tools are available to create videos from still images, while others can record your computer screen and voice to create a customized “webcast.”
Learn to incorporate videos from YouTube and other web sites into your PowerPoint presentations to add interest and in-depth information. Join us in the East Conference Room on Friday, September 28 from Noon – 1:00 pm for free pizza and bottled water at our next Technology Lunch Series workshop to learn about free or low-cost software for creating your own videocasts.
Mark your calendars now for Norris Library’s annual book sale, Thursday, September 20, 2012. The sale will include withdrawn and donated items on a variety of medical topics as well as a selection of general fiction and non-fiction titles. All books will be sold for $2.00 and will benefit Norris Medical Library.
