Libraries on YouTube

utubelogo…And you thought libraries only had books and journals!

The National Library of Medicine, the world’s largest medical library has a YouTube channel. The NLM YouTube channel posts videos of database training, NLM exhibitions (such as an overview of the Native Voices: Native Peoples’ Concepts of Health and Illness), public service announcements, lectures and more.  Browse video titles or subscribe to the channel to be notified whenever new content is posted. The NLM site also features links to NIH YouTube channels and other federal health resources.

Norris Library also has its own YouTube Channel.  There are currently 6 titles created by Norris librarians and staff and more are being planned.  Topics range from information about the library (5 Things You Need to Know), how to do research (Find Resources by Topic and NML PubMed Tutorial) and even a piece about the USC football team’s visit to the Health Sciences campus.  Take a look and let us know what you think!
