BioBase On-site Training at USC

NML-Logo2Norris Medical Library Bioinformatics Service will host an on-site training on the BioBase Suite, taught by BioBase scientists and featuring live demos and hands-on practice. 

These are just a few of the things the BioBase suite can do for your research:

  • Power your transcriptional regulation study with the world’s most comprehensive and authoritative transcription factor binding database TRANSFAC®and versatile promoter analysis tool ExPlainTM .
  • Speed up your literature study with high-quality expert curated knowledge on gene/protein, disease and drug in Proteome.
  • Annotate your NGS data with a comprehensive compilation of variant knowledge and quickly identify variants of specific interests using Genome Trax.

Time:  9:00 am – 4:00 pm, Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013

Training Schedule

9:00 am – 11:30 am             Proteome and TRANSFAC

11:30 am – 12:30 pm           Lunch will be provided

12:30 pm –2:15 pm              ExPlain

2:30 pm – 4:00 pm               Genome Trax and Human Genetic Mutation Database
