Medicine and the Image: The Visible Human

Medicine and the ImageThe Levan Institute for Humanities and Ethics presents “Medicine and the Image: The Visible Human”. This one-day conference is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 from 8:30 AM – 7:30 PM and will explore how the human body and its experiences of illness are imagined and made visible in medical research, practice, and education. The conference will be held on the University Park Campus, Doheny Memorial Library, Room 240. Please RSVP: http://dornsife.usc.edu/medical-humanities.

1:30 – 3:00 PM                   Roundtable on Careers in the Health Humanities & Arts

3:00 – 4:00 PM                   Wrap Up Session

4:00 – 5:30 PM                   Exhibition Reception [Tyler Prize Pavilion]

5:30 – 7:00 PM                   Keynote Lecture

In addition to the conference, the Public Gallery Exhibit will be available for viewing from Monday, November 3 – Friday, November 7, 2014 in the Von KleinSmid Center Courtyard.
